About the Combine

The LFA Combine Summer Showcase is a program designed for all boys & girls aged 14–19 (must be in eighth grade or older) preparing for their upcoming high school and college soccer seasons. The program will have morning and afternoon training sessions run by former and current college coaches and professional players. All sessions will be held at the new Lou Fusz Facility at Rams Park.  The indoor and outdoor turf fields will be used, as well as, the high quality Bermuda grass fields (weather permitting).  The state of the art lecture hall will be used for dining and lecture sessions.  7v7 and full size matches will be played under the eye of local college coaches.  

Landon Donovan is an American former professional soccer player who played as a forward and attacking midfielder. He holds numerous individual records in Major League Soccer (MLS) and for the United States national team. Donovan is joining former LA Galaxy teammate, and LFA’s own, Dan Gargan; they won the MLS Cup together in 2014. Seminars will be held to discuss the psychological stresses and pressure of playing sports including at the youth level as well as training sessions with the boys group and girls group for crossing and finishing technique. Donovan will also have a Q&A with signing to follow.

Our Facility

The LFA Training Center at Rams Park is a world class complex that has been previously used by professional athletes and teams. The facility houses one full-sized indoor synthetic turf field, as well as as one outdoor synthetic field and two state of the art Bermuda grass fields. Some of the other features it touts are a full athletic training room, fitness room, and auditorium.

Additional Items

  • Players will receive a written evaluation from combine staff at the conclusion of the program.
  • Players will attend a college recruiting seminar, fitness/strengthening session during the program.
  • Speed and agility drill testing and timing.
